City Adopts Emergency Ordinance to Halt COVID-19 Related Evictions
On March 18, 2020, the West Sacramento City Council adopted an ordinance establishing a temporary moratorium on evicting residential and commercial tenants who suffer substantial wage or business losses due to the implementation of measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. This ordinance is an emergency measure that is in effect immediately through at least May 31st.
We've been getting a lot of questions regarding outdoor activities related to the shelter in place order from the Yolo County Public Health officer. During the shelter in place you are allowed to go outside to exercise and enjoy nearby parks, as well as take care of the elderly, so long as you do not congregate in a group and maintain at least six feet of distance between you and other people.
